In my book "Scorpions" Jamal drags his friend Tito into trouble with him. Even after Tito advised Jamal to end with his wrongdoing Jamal didn't listen to him. Although Jamal didn't listent, Tito still stuck by his side. Th same thing happened in a book I previously read; named "Handbook For Boys." In his book the Doc stuck with Kevin even while he got arrested. Doc didn't give up on him because that little mistake. Both these stories are similar when it comes to loyalty. Both Doc and Tito could've gave up on their friends but they didn't and stuck with them through tough times.

"Uncle Richie, I used to be mad with you when you wouldn't talk about Vietnam. I thought you were being selfish, in a way. Now I understand how light the words seem. If I ever have kids, I think I won't tell the much about what I did here, or what I've seen. I'll tell them something because I'll want them to know about war. But are there really enough words to make them understand." This passage is from a book called Sunrise Over Fallujah. I chose this because I think it demondtrated the emotion that goes on in the battlefield. I never knew that war could mess with your mind som much until I read this book. This book is a book I would recommend to anyone.

My book

I'm reading a Walter Dean Myer's 179 paged, "Handbook For Boys." The genre is realistic fiction. This book is about a 16 year old boy named Jimmy Lynch who was charged for assaulting a fellow student. Instead of being put into a youth facility, he was put on probation and put into Duke Wilson's mentoring program for 6 months. Duke owns a barbershop where the teens he mentors work sweeping hair after school. Jimmy was being mentored alongside Kevin. Kevin was caught smoking weed and then put into the same mentoring program ans Jimmy. This story takes place in Harlem So far this story has been a lot about Duke's life advice to the teens he mentors.
